Dia del profesor

Wednesday October 16th was teacher's day in Chile so we got to celebrate it on Monday as a gift from the owners of the school. They told us the week before that kids weren't coming to school on Monday and we got to come 3 hours later. We had a very relaxing yoga session in the school and then they invited us to lunch at a really fancy restaurant downtown called the Casino Espanol. It is a building with beautiful architecture and paintings and the meal was delicious. It was such a nice surprise to have the day off from work and get a free lunch! Then on Wednesday, the high school kids had planned a surprise afternoon of activities for the teachers. They had different competitions for teachers to win prizes and then each class had a picnic lunch in the classroom from the parents. I of course won the dancing competition :) and then had pizza with my kids. It was a very fun day.
