I figured I had to try this one day since I see it EVERYWHERE...Mote con Huesillo. It's a juice (mote) with some rice-like seeds in the bottom as well as some sort of ball of fruit (I think it's peach...and I think that's the huesillo). I got a small glass of it and couldn't finish it. It has a very distinct flavor and I personally am not a fan. Some people love it and rave about it, but not so much this girl.
In Iquique there are tons of Sushi restaurants. Maybe because it's on the coast or maybe they just like sushi, I'm not sure. But my friends took me to this one which is one of their "pica"...one of the places they love to go all the time because they know it's great. Kind of like Na's Thai Cafe for me and my friends back at home. One type of sushi I've never seen before, wrapped in fried chicken! Not half bad...
