For my week of vacation for las Fiestas Patrias, I went down to Concepcion to visit my friend Lorena and her family. I first flew down to Santiago and then took a bus overnight to Concepcion. Lorena lives with her family in a suburb of Conce called Talcahuano. It was beautiful with all the green and the ocean and a lot cleaner than Iquique. After eating breakfast and taking a nap, Lorena took me around the city to check out the sights with her dad and her daughter Sofia. Here are some of the highlights of Talcahuano.
The bay
The stadium shaped like a turtle shell
It started hailing like crazy the first morning I was there! Then it was sunny the rest of the week :)
