A friend of mine in the running club is also a photographer. He recently finished a two-year long project capturing images the profiles of poor people who live in the small towns outside of Iquique in the region and the facades of their homes...in the desert. His volunteer project was recognized by the government and he was given a grant to continue it in other places. For the past two weeks his and other photographers' projects were on exposition in the Cultural Center in Iquique so I went to check it out. It was a cool gallery and an interesting exposition.
